Brian
Rigby Auctioneers has been serving the Equine
Industry professionally for over thirty years. Owner
Brian Rigby has been Auctioneer, Announcer, or Sale Manager at
many of the nation's major Equine Events. Brian has shown horses
successfully for years with emphasis on Western Pleasure,
Reining, and Halter.
Rigby Equine Sales has been active in Professional Sale
management since 1981. Owner and auctioneer Brian Rigby served
as Associate Director of Advertising for The Quarter Horse
Journal in Amarillo, Texas. A few of the sales his company has
managed include the IBHA World Sales, the American Royal Select
Sales, Midway Horse Sales, The UMC Production Sales, and
numerous production sales and dispersals. Brian Rigby was also
on the auction team with the first live satellite sale at
Vessels Stallion Farm in Bonsall, California. At that same sale,
they set a record by selling a Quarter Horse yearling for a then
all time high (in California) of $650,000. They broke that
record the following year by selling a yearling for $750,000.
A
two-time Champion Auctioneer,
Brian still sells over 200 Auctions each year.
He, his wife Patty, and sons Brett and Brenan enjoy the Auction
Industry and the rural life of Rogersville, Missouri, home of
RIGBY EQUINE SALES.
Brett is now taking
an active role in several of the Equine Sales Brian has been
associated with for decades.
